I finally received a new digital camera from e-bay, and it was worth the wait. I got a good deal on a Canon Digital Elph SD10 4.0 megapixel unit. As you can see below, this takes some pretty nice photographs! I think the Sony Mavica I was using before wasn't even 1 megapixel.
Thus far I am very pleased with the camera. It's very small and easy to use. Hopefully I'll be able to post some better photographs here in the future...
