A photo of Lake Roosevelt. Lake Roosevelt was created in 1911 with the construction of the Theodore Roosevelt dam. After this area endured a drought for several years, the lake water level dropped to about 25% of what it would normally hold. The low water levels left many archaeological sites in the basin exposed which would have otherwise been underneath water.
